The questions we are asked most often, answered plainly.
An independent information site about US auto insurance, operated by Clench Media LLC. We publish plain-English guides and free calculators that explain how coverage works and what drives a premium, so you can shop without being talked into extras you do not need.
No. We are not an insurance company, agency, or broker, and we are not licensed to sell insurance. We quote no rates, bind no coverage, and handle no claims. Everything we publish is information.
No. Every guide and calculator is free, with no account, no signup, and no paywall. Advertising pays for the site.
Our marketplace and advertising partner compensates us when visitors request quotes through our links. You pay nothing extra, and it does not change the rates any insurer offers you. It also does not buy editorial coverage — no advertiser reviews or approves our content before publication. See the disclaimer.
You leave quotescomparenow.com. The link takes you to a quote comparison marketplace operated by QuinStreet, where you complete the quote request. That company collects and handles your information under its own privacy policy and terms of use, and we receive no copy of it.
No. There is no form here to fill in. Every quote request happens on our marketplace partner's site, which is why we never ask for your name, phone number, email address, or driver and vehicle details.
Never. We do not collect contact information, so we have no way to reach you, and we do not send quotes by email. If an insurer or agent contacts you after you requested quotes, that came from the marketplace where you entered your details and from the permissions you agreed to there. To stop it, contact that company or the insurer directly — we cannot do it for you.
No. Requests made on our marketplace partner's site never touch our systems, so we have nothing to look up, change, or withdraw. Contact the partner or the insurer.
Nobody can answer that from a web page, ourselves included. Pricing depends on your state, ZIP code, record, vehicle, and the limits you choose, and every insurer weights those differently. That is the whole argument for comparing several quotes on the same coverage rather than trusting a single name.
We publish ranges rather than exact rates, sourced from public rate filings, state insurance department and NAIC data, and published industry research. Ranges describe a benchmark driver; yours may legitimately fall outside one. The methodology page shows exactly how they are built.
Guides are reviewed at least annually and updated sooner when a state changes a rule or the market moves. Insurance still changes faster than any publisher can track, so confirm specifics with an insurer or a licensed agent in your state before you act.
No. It is general education, not advice about your circumstances. For that, talk to a licensed professional in your state. See our disclaimer.
Tell us. Email [email protected] with the page and what looks off. Corrections take priority over everything else in the inbox.
Standard server log data — IP address, browser user agent, and pages requested — plus advertising measurement and analytics cookies, and an anonymous click identifier passed to our marketplace partner when you follow a quote link so the referral can be counted. No names, no phone numbers, no email addresses. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Yes, for advertising measurement and analytics. Any major browser can block or delete them in its privacy settings, and the guides and calculators still work if you do. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal.
We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising measurement cookies may count as “sharing” under California law, so California residents get a real opt-out — see the California Privacy Notice.
Email [email protected], or use the contact page. We have no phone line, and we cannot help with quotes, policies, or claims — those need a licensed professional or the insurer itself.
